Actually, I was thinking about this place the last time Yes came to Pine Knob (I still refuse to call it by its present corporate paid-for title):

It’s supposed to have the best mac n cheese around and was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives. It’s not too far from the venue, either. Whatever we decide, though – count me in for pre-concert festivities!

Hi Kathi, I hope you have a great time and enjoy your Yes show as much as we enjoyed the show we saw together in London in 2004! Still have fond memories of that one! Have a two minutes sandwhich for me!...LOL

well-not sure i can manage a two minute sandwich, but i could probably slam down a summer shandy beer in less than three seconds!

i cant wait for the show! seeing all my buddies again and peggy coming for a visit too!!

Well Kathi, when the band is playing it will be six hours later over here and as much as I love to hear a Yes song live, I'm not sure getting a call in the middle of the night and a Yes song coming out of my phone at loud volume would please the wife and kids...LOL

What is appropriate apparel for a pre show "barn dance"???? The new guy doesn't want to look like more of a dork than usual. I don't need to mow the lawn or use grecian formula do I? If I can pull my wife out of the outlet mall, I'd love to meet up with y'all.

Hey Peg (and Dale, too) - I was thinking of meeting at the Clarkston Union, as mentioned in post #2 of this thread. I usually get out of work at 4:30, but could prolly convince my boss to let me go earlier if need be. I'm thinking if I leave straight from work it will take me about 30-45 min. to get there, depending on traffic. I'll contact the restaurant this weekend and see if they need a reservation. So, we're looking at at least 10 people right now?

the short robe is fine, as for the weather I saw high of 80 and sunny for Monday. Oh and I live to look like a dork.

3 Amigo dorks, Dale? Ok, I called the Union and they don't take reservations, so we'll be roundin' up the tables on our own. Make sure you're packin' some six-shooters and give 'em enough rope! I'm gonna take the bull by the horns and say 5:30-6:00 for grub 'n' brew.

Will scope the place out from the parking lot then will send our Phil in first then Willo and I`ll bring up the rear. We are going to start slow then go hard for the tables. We`ll only get rough if we need to. Going to try to motivate my group for a 5:30 arrival as so to maximize my Michigan Yesfan time. I`m wearing a little extra Aqua Velva for this one.......know why?....tomorrow is promised to no one , and what if this is .......you know......I`m not even going to say it out loud. Boys in the band get a good night sleep and take care of yourselves. God willing we`ll all get together Monday ,enjoy some mac n cheese ,and enjoy a great night together. Whwhwwwwwaaaaa! Can't wait! Rob, I've been front row (May 4 (!), 2004, Chicago) before and have had to cross my arms over my chest to protect myself from ... Chris' bass concussion. It was GREAT! But mostly, I was watching Wakeman. Looking forward to your review of the DC concert. ... Wait a second, how many shows have you seen already and how many more do you get to see?

Phil, I'm so excited. I can hardly sit still. In less than seven hours, Kathi & I will be together. Let's get this party started!
