Since Crimson is quite clearly no longer an active concern for Fripp, this would be pretty cool. I certainly wouldn't mind hearing this group tear through a bunch of new Adrian songs on a studio album...

Basically the Two of a perfect Trio six piece.
Touring to support dream theatre. There are quite concerts on Dime now some of excellent quality, it's basically a 50+ min set.
I have listened to a couple of these and think that the versions on here are better than the versions of those songs on the Chicago 2008 kccc.
I always felt that Gavin Harrison brought a rocky heavy metal feel to that version whereas the Crimson projeKct with Tobias as the second drums has a more percussive feel to it.
I also think that a year on from the TofaPT tour they work more now as a band and sound less like a tribute act. The group are giving the songs there own little tweeks and touches.
Lets hope that this unit continues and maybe produce some work of their own.
Sky was black, Lord, rain came pouring down

Mules keep spinning, black-faced lifers peck the ground

I don't see why Robert wouldn't bless their going on as a recording and live unit. Or he could work with Markus on recording parts and then just let Markus tour.

I saw them last night on an off-night from the Dream Theater tour - at an interesting venue - the Beekman Beer Garden - which is located right on the water by the South Street Seaport - just south of the Brooklyn Bridge.
Tony Levin's Stickmen opened up (and played two KC songs.....as well as a Fripp solo song.....and then their own stuff) followed by the Adrian Belew Power Trio (no KC songs during the set - but I liked the tunes).
The show was closed out by all six members of those two ensembles together for the Crimson set.
Pure excellence.
I know better than to expect a well-rounded set from the KC catalog (something I'd absolutely love but I know I won't get)......but they were absolutely excellent.
Even better - I get to see them again tonight open for DT in Huntington!

Yeah. They are playing Bearsville in Woodstock on Thursday Aug. 23rd. Probably cant' go( "*&^!!@#$%^^&*((" exhale reload "%^&$^&((**"!!!! ) but I'll see. Bearsville Theatre is an awesome venue, the vibes there are great (maybe Steve Howe Trio would be an approiate act for them?) Matt

"Name one band who only plays their new album, and no old songs from their past catalogue - I can't think of one. Didn't Yes play Roundabout as an encore on the Tales tour?" - BillGuitar
New Belew interview over at Progsheet on the ProjeKct. A couple of obvious questions concerning the ProjeKct answered.... Thanks, Matt
