They dropped it temporarily in the UK.

I see that as a short set because of the casino rules and opening night. I am expecting to see America added to the setlist. Nothing from Drama???? interesting.....

Do you think the somewhat predictable setlist was due to the fact that they haven't played in Canada since 2008?

The last time I saw Yes (with Benoit), they played Machine Messiah, and actually, I thought it was the best song of the night. Of course there was no Awaken or HOTS, but still, I wish they hadn't dropped it...especially since it was from Drama (Geoff)

This setlist is somewhat disappointing.. But hopefully they will chage a few things up as the tour progresses...

    Re: Setlist for Rama?

With another casino show Friday, I expect to see a few songs added and a few dropped. The first night of the European Tour they played everything the rehearsed. That's impossible to accomplish at a casino show. We really won't know the full set list until next week.

I like your "dreams" terryt. I think this set list was a start. There should be some additional surprises (let's hope). Dreamtime with JD, strong choice!

I have been a YES fan since the early days ... and know this will urk many - but I think Drama is one of the very best (maybe THE best) of all YES discs. I know Jon Anderson wasn't on it - but what a wonderful montage of (obviously YES) songs.

And probably one of their 'least heard' offerings too. Sadly.

    Re: Setlist for Rama?

Thrilled as I am with the idea of Awaken being in the set and allowing that there's a few other songs that I love in there too, that setlist is truly uninspiring and repetitive (to say the least). Much as I would like to see Jon Davison, I'd be mightily disappointed with this song choice. Not exactly a surprise though.

Let's hope that once America has had chance to hear the entire FFH suite live it will be retired to make room for some forgotten gems on the next tour...

...and therefore all the more surprising they aren't playing more of it with 4/5 of the Drama line-up on stage.....

The thing is I'm fine with FFH suite. It is still fresh and new. But TF again for the god know how maniest tour in a row (Almost 4 years of playing that song now)? YIND again as opening song? Owner again, when it was said to be left out this tour? Those are choices that bother me much more......

    Re: Setlist for Rama?

Hey, guys, I have bad news for you. Owner was the band's biggest hit of all time, and is associated with the most success they have ever had. Chris Squire LOVES being a Big Time Rock and Roller. Plus the band like the song. It's only 6 minutes of the set - why wring your hands over this? I like what Howe does with the solo section, and he's been playing this song on tour for, what, 15 years now? And we go, OMG I can't believe they played OoaLH. Seriously?

For the record, Relayer is my favorite Yes album, CttE my favorite song. I listened to and enjoyed Yes in the Rabin years, and steadily wished for the "Glory Days" of the band, especially when they played HotS on the Big Gen tour. Then we (sort of) got the Glory Days back again. So I'm not an '80s convert to the band - I was actually aghast the first time I heard OoaLH, and couldn't believe it was Yes. But I got over it. In 1983. Which was almost 30 years ago.

I don't have anything against Owner, I like the song very much. Would be great if the band cranked up the pace of the song a few notches though. My general point though is that if one says stuff in interviews concerning a setlist for an upcoming tour, one has to back it up. Otherwise it IMO kind of falls under sailing under false colors in order to lure fans into buying concert tickets in advance.
