One England's finest referees Jack Taylor died yesterday at the age of 82. His bravery in the 1974 World Cup Final to award Holland a penalty in the first minute against the German's & then 25 minutes later to award the Germans a penalty was heroic.
A lot of officials today could do with looking at his performances & learning.
RIP Jack Taylor.

Indeed, after disappointment of cav not winning, I,m hoping the women can repeat their success of Beijing.
On the DR Who question, without the benefit,of wiki, a lot,of people forget the Paul McCann one, which i thought was, quite good.
Also notice the film is on channel five tommorow around midday. Shame that yet another assistant, died last week, the lovely Mary Tamm.
Generally considered to be 11 TV Doctors (including McGann). Though as mentioned earlier, Peter Cushing played him on the big screen and there have been a whole host of others who played the good Doctor on stage, the radio and internet, not to mention a couple of spoof versions.
Yes very sad about the gorgeous Mary Tamm, the first Romana. Was posted here a few days ago and also on one of the dedicated Doctor Who threads elsewhere on the site.

Impressive shot, Ian!
Still bewitched by tHat opening ceremony, but tell me this someone.. That, allegedly, cost c£27m & yet we have hundreds of volunteers helping to make this thing work, being paid nothing & living in tents, while OC officials whizz around in priority lanes & stay in 5* hotels.. Is this an morality tale of our times?
