Great day at the cricket. Thanks everyone for the good wishes, we had a superb time. My longtime Yes fan friend Colin and his wife (not a Yes fan, who said my FFH T-shirt would make a good cleaning rag!) were both on good form and despite a brief rain break in the morning the day couldn't have gone better. As you know, England beat the Australians without any concern, quietly and confidently demonstrating to them that now they're rubbish and we're brilliant. Mitchell Johnson received the usual flack and responded with the usual quota of no balls and wides, and we chanted the Australian fans "Cheerio" as they left the ground before the final overs.
I'm sorry to hear Norm/Paul has left the building - did it have anything to do with Mike's singling out of Rooney and Ashley Cole underperforming at the EUROs?
I missed most of the football, which was a bit of a shame as it actually included some goals - I caught the last two.
