    Yes Libs

Are Yes song lyrics ripe for "libbing?" We shall see with this experiment. If you are familiar with the Mad Libs books from childhood then you know what this is. If not, you will pick up on this as it goes along.

Fill in two slots. Then the next poster copies and pastes, and then fills in the next two slots. And so on. When all the slots are done I will reveal the song with the Yes libbed lyrics.

    YES LIB#1

    Re: Yes Libs

Trust me, I think this exercise is really fun if you don't know what song is being Mad Libbed until the slots are all filled, but it is a lot less fun if there is no participation at all (I am thoroughly embarassed!)

So, therefore, to give this thread a much needed kick in the butt, the song for Mad Lib #1 is "I've Seen All Good People."

Now let's burn out those yesfan.com servers!

Any two is quite fine (especially with those two great answers!)

What is it with New Jersey and weird town names, anyway? Inquiring minds want to know!

    They can't spell?

Actually, we Empire State people have some interesting town names, too. Some are from the Dutch; others, from Native American culture...and I'll bet there are more from other nationalities/cultures, too!

From the Wikipedia article about Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey:
A few theories have been offered for the hyphens and capitalization. One is that it was intended to differentiate between the borough and Hohokus Township, which was formed on April 9, 1849, and continued to exist until November 7, 1944, when a referendum was passed changing the name to present-day Mahwah. Another explanation was that it was meant to avoid confusion by postal clerks with mail being sent to Hoboken.

Seems to me it is the postal clerks in New Jersey who are Spell-Ing Chal-Lenged.

rm: Thank you for your answers! Nestled in my second post is the name of the song, but I guess you missed it. I am curious if it matches your guess. The same song?

Well, now I'm a bit embarassed--not just because I missed that post entirely, but because I had the wrong song! I thought it was "On the Silent Wings of Freedom." Whoops!
