Yes - This version rocks!
No - The orignal intro is better!
I've never heard this before...
Its an extended version of awaken from the yesshows tour. It features Alan White on Vibraphone. It apparently called "flight jam"
I really like it! Thought it was worth sharing.

Leave your opinions of the piece below.
My recollection of Wembley 77 was Jon was more prominent on the Harp and it echoed stylistically the part 11 intro. Awaken and the the two encores, which included the super charged ST were electric. The band took out an add in the Melody Maker and thanked the audiences for making the shows they did so wonderful. Unforgettable stratospheric levels of energy I can take myself back 35 years and see the curtain shoot up and the band launch into Parallels. I have been all around the world and nothing has taken me higher.
In most of our human relationships, we spend much of our time reassuring one another that our costumes of identity are on straight.
I really liked the vibraphone intro. The regular part of the song, not so much. They were playing most of it too fast. Apparently not a complaint they're likely to hear these days, given all the commentary about how slow they're playing now.
"Olσrin I was in the West that is forgotten."
This is was my first Yes tour, and obviously it sold me on the band for life... Stupid concert

I'm not sure who's more dangerous, the band or the fans.....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Ha ha ha.
Some songs from the YES vault should be left unless JA is singing it. Not a JA fight I am trying to start. Just think it would be nice to respect some of the old stuff and leave it un-played if the orig folks on it are all not there to do it live.

Well this is not what is known as "Flight Jam". "Filght Jam" was a piece played during the Tormato tour and based on a motif taken from Stavinsky's "Rite of the Spring". Jon used the same motif around 1972-73 (you may here this just before he introduces Rick on Yessongs.
Here it is an intro played to introduce Awaken.
