This is sort of an unusual venue choice.

Mizner Park is this super upscale shopping and dining few blocks in Boca Raton. It's where The Beautiful People hang out. Don't get me wrong, I like it there, it just seems like a curious choice of venue.

I'm pretty sure you could stand just outside the amphitheater and hear, if not see the show pretty well.

If the show were about 1 month later I'd be able to attend.

It's funny, they seem to play a different venue just about every time they come to South FL these days. They used to play the big shed ampitheatre in WPB a lot, but since 2008 they've done Hard Rock Live, Sunset Cove Amphitheater, Kravis Center, Sunrise Theater in Fort Pierce and now Mizner Park. One thing I love is that they do seem to come to Florida on almost every tour, and we get skipped by a lot of bands.

that's too much for me to see most bands anymore.

then again maybe i'll go and get the cheapest tix i can that night.
anyone who is not familiar with this venue, it is basically at one end of a big blocks long outdoor mall type place.
so show is outside - wonderful in south florida in the summer.
and you can not see but can hear the bands play real good from just outside the fence.
so if you can't afford it, just hang outside and listen for free!
also a large parking garage is near the "park" where parking is also free.

so for me this will be a last minute decision, weather + funds permitting.

but i recommend anyone who can afford it should support the band anyway possible.touring is a musicians primary source of income, not sales of music.

I purchased 2 tickets for this show and have to say there was some sticker shock. As Yes' popularity decreases and they are moving to smaller venues, then ticket prices need to increase to make touring profitable. If they had Jon, Rick, Trevor or all of the above in the band then they could sell more tickets, play larger arenas, but not with this line-up.
I'm just glad they are coming to Florida. Many bands in their position would just play shows in the Northeast or West Coast.

Wow......there is a venue here - the Ravinia - where you can sit, not see the band, but listen to the show by sitting in you own chair on the lawn above the venue. They charge about $20 to sit there and people set up elaborate spreads that remind me of tailgate parties. It's a lot of fun to "hear" a band there.

It's a nice venue. In the past, I've seen the White Stripes here, Morrissey, The Pixies; Brian Wilson played here. It's a good mix of people, all ages from kids to elderly wandering through (I've wondered: do they have season tickets or are they lost?)
