2012 Summer Shindig: The Date is Set! What Say You?

It's time to start thinking about setting the date for my annual summer BBQ. Since I'm hoping to attend the gathering in Tahoe, I won't be having it that weekend. Which weekend is good for you folks?

S-h-one-t. I was REALLY hoping to make it this year and was prepared to come over just for it and of course an extra visit with the Brooklyn and Bronx loons, but alas, I will be in Ibiza with Mrs B at this time.

Wow! I actually have this week planned off vacation-wise ( would have to drive overnight to make it to work on Sunday though :-( ). Had a great time last year despite the personal agony I was in and then the pain pill. I hope to make it with Crystal again. Will have to break my plans to my wife later and if she can take the time off, hopefully she will come up, too.

Whether or not we, I, make it up there this year, thank you, Marge, for getting this fantastic, not to be missed yesfans event together. Half the fun was spending some time with some of your clan. :-)

Here's what I'm thinking for this year:

I'd like to rent one or two group camp sites at the state park 2.5 miles from my house. I'll scale down the food a bit, but we'll have the lake right there and we can pitch our tents for the night.

We used to camp there all the time, and drink. But, I just checked their website and they do, indeed, prohibit alcohol. So..........we'll have to do something else.

There's nothing stopping you guys from camping there over night, if you like. It's MUCH cheaper than a hotel room.
