I get that some people don't like it, but that still is not an answer to the question in my previous post. I have btw. decided not to post in that particular thread anymore, so if people aren't interested and don't like it, I'm sure we won't see it at the top of 'today's posts' page ever again.....

Think about it......how can anyone except the very few that have seen JD live with Yes compare him with BD?

I think it's a clear sign that an artist has done strong work that can stand up to scrutiny and a bit of vigorous tire kicking that fans of that particular artist don't shy away from robust discussions, examinations and comparisons. IMHO Steve Howe, Trevor Rabin, Rick Wakeman and Tony Kaye all fit that bill.
The good feelings toward Yes will now grow among the US fan base when they see this tour!

"Name one band who only plays their new album, and no old songs from their past catalogue - I can't think of one. Didn't Yes play Roundabout as an encore on the Tales tour?" - BillGuitar
True but interviews you read with the other band members indicate they have a lot of confidence in Davison, even going as far as to say he is making them raise their game.
And of course mobile recorded youtube clips don't provide the full picture but it appears so far they have a vocalist who is singing the tunes with apparent ease and without straining himself, something you couldn't always say for Benoit, which is a fair assessment i think.
There is no question that the attitudes as a whole have changed.... There seem to be A LOT less "attacks" on this version of Yes recently. Jon D. is definately part of that equation.... They've most certainly stepped up their game since he joined..

I'm not sure who's more dangerous, the band or the fans.....

They've put the bandback together! Literally. Look how close they are standing, I'm sure it makes a difference. They are really rocking. The singer is singing really good lead vocals. Steve, Chris and Alan are ripping into their instruments like it was 1974, and Geoff has become a real Yes man. They've put the band back together ...

Just speculation on my part but I think him being the one to replace JA he was doomed from the word go by many. Then you throw in the rumblings by many that he was not cutting it, then him getting sick after the album was done, I think the band from some corners was getting some heat to change and JD was found or they knew of him when BD was in and just said TIME TO MAKE A CHANGE! JD seems so much more less forced looking when he is on the stage. He looks like he feels in his element up there in front of thousands. Nothing on BD but he seemed stiff and forced and no comfy in the role.
