Hope yr'all enjoying the sun. I just finished Forever War. Fantastic book - thanks for recommendation, Paul (and for the second Dark Lord). JUst now started The Jungle Book. I've never read Kipling before, which is suprising given my India connections/interest, and it was sitting there on my Kindle, the shortest of a whole bunch of free classic books I loaded onto it. I need something short for now as I'll be starting The Brothers Karamazov next month (with a reading club).

I'm not sure I buy this 'City bought the title' argument - I mean, generally, Paul - not just where you're concerned! All the top teams have made massive investments in their squads over the years, surely. After 44 years, City were just playing catch up.

And it's one thing to *buy* the talent, it's another to get them working decently as a team.
