I like to experience such cultural mysteries... like similar ancient cave-paintings on different continents at times before there was any contact. Would like to look after that chnese Music you are talking about...

Here is something I had in mind as well these days

That one's quite interesting. It hung around in my head for a while, but it's gone again, now. I'll have to listen a bit more before I know whether I'm likely to actively enjoy it over time. (It's good to be kept busy .)

I'm sorry I have no idea what the Chinese song is. I don't even have any idea about how to search for it online. But it just sounds like pop music. Probably nothing special. I think I might not even like if it was in English - I like the sound of the language on it. Maybe I would like it just as much without the accompanying music! The band could be singing about anything (but I suspect it's about love. It sounds like it should be.) You may not even hear a similarity between that and Landungsbruecken Raus, since for me the main similarity is in the physical feeling of movement I get from both songs (or perhaps, to be more precise, a reminder of movement). I could describe that, but I don't think it would be very helpful!

Anyway, I'll give Selig another go, to see if I can make up my mind. Thank you!

Myriads of those associations with music I do have - like you and your chinese song - and if I tell people about it, they often look bewildered and don't know at all what I am talking about. But isn't it enough that it was our pleasure for us for a while or a moment? A little sad is, that the creators of your chinese song will never get to know that you thought about their work far away from China in 大不列颠王国
and that you even cared to compare it to another piece of music. And that they kept you busy.

Reminds me also that I seem to be one of the few poeple on earth who really like Yes' album Open Your Eyes, and I tried so often to describe why and to convince Yesfans to try it again - but without major success. Well, I don't care in the end, but I seem to hear it different than most. The music has such an overwhelming joyous character and power, and all those little details, the harmony singing... the crossing of two diverse guitars... before I get enthusiastic I stop...

Anyway, just look what Selig is doing with you or not... and however I will look for some other Musik. Right now though I have Does It Really Happen? on from Topographic Drama and must say I like it.

Wow... The Aircraft-like sound of an Hydrogen Fuel Cell bus.

Today I am going to experience freeway speeds as I am on an Express from North Desert Hot Springs to Indi. Its lime 40 miles 20 at freeway speed (65 for bus).

It really does sound like a new 777 in flight at altitude cruising speed.

I'm going to get my turntable balanced. Cheeto Jesus is making me ill again. My best friend's mom died from Alzheimers' and I could not see her the last three years of her life. The woman was the rock of her family.

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4 in F minor, Op. 36

This recording is a must have for Tchaikovsky ~ Michael Tillson Thomas seems to be channeling Pyotr. This is a firey rendition!
