On Eddie Offord: I don't think any phonecall would work, what I gathered from the 2007 Yes rockumentary Eddie likes being retired just fine.
And anyhow, good results in the past do not guarantee good results in the future.
But another suggestion: How about Roger King, who produced the Squackett album? That album has a very organic, warm feel to the production that woulde suit Yes very well I feel.

I don't know if you are/were a Van Halen fan, but you need to give their 2012 release "A Different Kind of Truth" a listen. They went back to what made them successful, and this is IMHO one of their best albums.
Now that I think about the Squackett album, so do I. Good suggestion.

as we made our way towards home
and foes, they rose to strike us down
These are not the Truth
though they threaten
they are soon swallowed by Time
and matter not when the end is come

My vote is still for someone who is more of an indie rock guy who can give them a more immediate, back to basics, type sound without a bunch of unnecessary, power sapping tomfoolery.
I suspect that there is probably more affection for old Yes records out there than people might think. Members of Flaming Lips and Circa Survive are fans, Field Music too. I hear hints of vintage Yes in stuff like Animal Collective, Elf Power and Neutral Milk Hotel. I think Yes could take their rightful place as aging godfathers of that sort of sound in the right hands.

2 comments about the next yes album
one not so good
Andy Burns: There’s been lots of talk about a new Yes studio album sometime next year. Can you shed any more details on that, and if you’ll be apart of it? Along the same lines, do you know if we’ll see a live document from the current line-up of the band.
Geoff Downes: As yet, this is not high priority on the agenda, and there’s a lot of discussion to be had about what’s planned for the future. Suffice to say, the idea has not been dismissed, but has neither been discussed actively. I think we’ll all have to ‘wait and see’.

and on vague but better then what geoff is saying
I’m hoping we will probably do another one next year,” said Squire.

One thing that is undeniable Chris Squire wants to do another album next year. that i think is undeniable even by the most harden yes skeptic. I think Alan Does to same with Steve ... Geoff I think is interested....
and yet another squire quote that is odd
“We haven’t made formal plans yet for next year. I suspect that when we do, we’ll be wanting to make another studio album with Jon Davison,” Squire says

From recent interviews, I'm not sure that Yes is going to be top of Steve Howe's priority list for quite a while after the next tour. He not only has Asia but his solo and jazz combo projects seem to be a more of an attraction for him now. I'm not saying a new Yes album won't happen, but I wouldn't expect any news until late in 2013 at the earliest. Unless they have a specific contractual commitment to Frontier to produce someting within a time frame, I would not hold my breath. Chris clearly wants to do another one with the current line up if possible, but as we know ... with Yes anything can happen.
