Somebody a while ago had this uploaded on youtube and I have no idea how the levels got evened out so well but it sounded fantastic. I haven't been able to find them anywhere on youtube lately and am wondering what happened to them. They sounded great though, I sure would love to hear them again. Can anybody help with this? Thanks!

Here on Gates you can hardly hear Steve at the beginning, but then at about the 7.25 mark he finally kicks in and it gets much better...
Part 2 and things continue to improve...

The title of the video tells you how it was done
"QPR dubbed w audio from Jersey City '76"
If you look closely at Sound Chaser you can see that it is a bit out of sync but dubbing in sound from another show is the only way to get a proper mix on the 1st 1/2 of QPR. It does seems to go back to the QPR audio track at 5:36
It's been said many times before, but since this is the only video footage of the 1974-6 incarnation of Yes that's readily available, with a killer live set, isn't it about time now that someone picks up on it and does a clean up job with the sound and vision? I know it would be expensive, but it's always been a popular video amongst fans. Jimmy Page managed it with the Zeppelin footage on their DVD so it must be possible technically...........dreaming on........

I've long suspected that from the time of broadcast, all the BBC ever had was a partially ----ed up recording. After all this time I can only now remember Sweet Dreams and Ritual as definitely being on the original OGWT broadcast. I'm pretty sure there was no CTTE or GOD as I still have the impression of a not all that long broadcast, something like 50 mins. Can't find a list of songs broadcasted anywhere, which might confirm or deny my belief that, only a couple of months after the recording, half of what the BBC had was deemed not fit for Broadcast - don't recall an audience tape surfacing either. I've heard talk of 'missing multitracks', but if they ever existed, I suspect they went missing very shortly after the recording.
Please, someone, anyone, prove me wrong.
I wish Steve would have walked over to Jon, taken away Jon's guitar and never let him strum it again! QPR would have been magnificient if Jon had stuck to the instrument he can play well (voice)
QPR would have been magnificent if it had been mixed properly. The audio issues were not caused by Jon and I'm sure it sounded magnificent live, as other audio-only recordings from that tour attest. There are other issues with the mix on that performance as well, and I agree that it's a damn shame. Whoever had their hand on the faders that day deserves to be--metaphorically speaking--taken out and shot. But it's still pretty damn good, all in all. It's hard to believe, though, that in the course of three big world tours with that line-up that QPR is the only video document. This big, expensive visual spectacle that they were hauling around in those years--'Aida every night' as Jon has said--and that's the only record of it. Sigh.

if you hear any sound from the QPR show other than a mono mix, its a doctored release. The best document of this show is on Japanese laserdisc and its in mono, warts all all.

I've seen this, but this isn't what I was looking for. Thanks for digging and posting anyways! It was a very professional sounding job, as if it had been remixed. It was simply labeled QPR, cleaned up sound. It was an amateur job but an amazingly done amateur job. The levels were perfect. Jons guitar was in a supporting role level-wise where it should have been, steve didnt cut in and out, the keyboard levels were even, it just sounded fantastic. I'm dying to hear them again! I surely can't be the only one thats seen them.
