    Re: Forgotten Yesterdays forgotten?

    Hello Yesfans,

I wish I had something to report, but I don't, sorry. I last heard from Pete in June 2011, and while he had not gotten the original .com domain name back, he was considering taking the .net version. He fully intended (I presume still intends) to revive the site (NOT using php this time, promise!). But pressing 'real life' matters were keeping him very much occupied as of last summer.

I can assure you that any offers to help that were sent to me, were forwarded to him. Tim Lutterbie for example was in email contact with him last June. It's been radio silence since. I figured Peter will contact me when he's ready, but it's been a long time, so I'll shoot him an email today and see what's the status.

sndchaser: please email me at ssully@panix.com, or PM me here, and I'll get you back in touch with Pete if I can. I see from WHOIS that the Riva.net entity is still holding the .com name.

    Re: Forgotten Yesterdays forgotten?

I have a lot of the info from Forgotten Yesterdays on my site. www.concerts-db.com. Originally it started as a Pink Floyd site, but I have been adding a lot of bands to it.

BTW the registry for forgotten yesterdays expires soon.

    Record expires on 22-Aug-2012.

Lastly, the issue isn't with PHP. The issue is with sloppy programming. My site has been up since 1999, and I have yet to be hacked.

I can't get into the Forgotten Yesterdays Archive any more. It just says "Page cannot be crawled or displayed due to robots.txt".

    Anyone?

I've saved this as a favorite. It is fun to look thru. Thanks to the original poster "orangemaze"? Anyway, sad to see Forgotten has been lost and forgotten.

Is Tim L. still in charge here, and still interested in hosting FY? If so, what's the best way to contact him?

I have found that setlist fm is pretty good as well. It lists all the Yes concerts + setlists as well. It might not have pictures of tickets and not as many personal reviews as FY had, but in the absense of FY it does pretty well IMO.

Sad that FY is no more. The last time I tried to access it which was maybe a couple of years ago I couldn't get to it either. I have been able to find pretty much every Yes concert I have been to with FY. Oh well, at least I still have my memories of all the Yes concerts(including ABWH of course!)that I have been to.

seeing that FY is seemingly gone, an absolute Saint by the name of Remy Menting has a site called 'Songs Of The Earth', and its an amazingly comprehensive collection/list of his live/outtake collection (artwork, track lists, and show notes included), AND he offers .flac downloads of 5 or 6 Yes Shows & a video or 2 from his collection every 2 weeks. this is AMAZING!!

at some point in time(2009), he was able to save all the documented listings of show dates from FY, and you can find that archive here-

    http://www.yessongs.nl/FY.html

on his homepage for this site, he explains what is included...just the dates. all the pics & show reviews arent there; aparrently gone forever :( ... and i had more than a few 'reviews' of the Yes Shows ive seen posted there...oh well...

FY is supposed to be back soon. I offered the Yesfans server to host it for free, for a second time over the last 4 years or so, and appears I have been told no thanks again. I tried folks.

hey Tim. your efforts are more than appreciated. if theres anyone who should pick up the proverbial 'flame' of FY, it's You.

but if the previous site owner(s) can't get their proverbial "S" together on this matter with you...

    Re: Forgotten Yesterdays forgotten?

I am not sure what the issue was. The short time I was dealing with it they has issues the name rights as someone was holding the orig domain name and the person with the site now could not get it??? I suggested a simple name tweek that folks still could connect the name too, that was blow off and thus was i too it seemed.

I also said why not have all the major YES sites in one place that are not part of YESWORLD since they have ditched us all (record label/mang choice not YW) and most all of the YES history.

Please add me to the list of fans that are/were very grateful for the site when it was up...it helped me research my shows form the 70's and 80's. But, of course I lost my notes that I made so I'd love to be able to look things up again. Good luck getting it rolling again!

    Thank you!

Just saw a post from Pete over on Yes' facebook page last week saying the site will be back up sometime this month. I've heard that for almost 2 years, but that's the latest straight from the source.

    Re: Forgotten Yesterdays forgotten?

Fear not, this is for real. It's coming back! All the pieces are already in place and barring some unforseen circumstance it's only about a week or two away now. It's been completely rewritten from scratch and has 3 years of catching up to do before we go live. We plan to announce it here, there and everywhere. Trust me, you'll know when it happens.

Steve and I do this solely as a labor of love but we do have real life to contend with from time to time and in my case, real life pretty much prevented me from working on this for the last couple years. it happens.
