The Iron Lady. Interesting historical perspective.

    Meryl Streep is amazing.

Rock of Ages... well, I had a hard time accepting Mr Cruise as the character he played, but I did find it humorous at times, although I don't think that was what they intended. The song selection was good for that time period, but the evrsions were really watered down...

I've never been a fan of Russell Brand (?) but I really liked him in this movie.. he's the one that saved it enough to make it watchable

So the guy dumps Katie Perry (maybe THAT is why I never cared for him before?) and had an enjoyable part in a movie... I might becoming a fan of his...

Meloncholia. The first half was absolute torture. Second half made it worth the wait.
I'd like to watch it again knowing how and why it progresses so.

Star Trek IV - The Voyage Home
First three ST movies are not masterpieces, but they are still ok. This instead, was embarrassingly bad. A combination of Free Willy, Police Academy and Independence Day.

Monty Python - Almost The Truth
    Incredible documentary series.

I never cared for the ST movies so much.. Wrazth of Khan and the one with Picard and Kirk were OK.. but I think the genre works best in shorter stories or episode fashion, which is why I prefer the series so much more than the movies. Some of the two part episodes are far, far better than any of the movies.. Times Arrow? End Game? The Emissary? Encounter at Farpoint? to name a few...

Agree. I bought the Movie Box Set, so i still have six ST movies to watch. I've never been this afraid...

By the way, i bought the Next Generation Season 1 BD today, and despite some audio problems, it looks absolutely stunning.

The Decoy Bride. Daughter rented it for David Tennant role. A little too goofy for me.

Also Salmon Fishing in the Yumpin' Yemen. A little too glib and smarmy. Don't know why I thought it would be like Seven Years in Tibet LOL.

Totally wonderful. Just watch it if you are OK with seriously hard hitting drama.

I don't know, Minority Report and Blade Runner (especially!) are examples that great movies can be based on Philip K. Dick's novels. And any movie can be totally destroyed by giving a role to Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Aw, come on. It's absolutely worth it to hear Walter Koenig saying "nuclear wessel"!
