Lerxstee does this all the time. As a matter of fact... ...he's doing it now!

I always tell him that if an angel passes by, he's gonna stay like that.

Yes, Kim you should take her to the vet, just to be safe.
I hope Sparkles will be okay.

The vet says Sparkles is fine !
He checked her from head to tail.
He puts his ear up to her nose and listens to the strength of her breathing,
and for any unusual sound.
He opened her mouth and said her teeth and gums were healthy.
Checked underneath her tongue.
Looked for any swelling or asymmetry in the mouth area overall.
Put one type of stethoscope to the top of her nose area. Said her sinus passages were clear.
Listened to her heart and lungs for the longest time, moving the other stethoscope
to a number of different positions. Everything is fine.
Sparkles was brave. And she even let out a loud growl at him,
when he did one other thing. Personally, I think he had it coming !
If he tried that with me, I'd deck him. :-))
So her temp was fine too.

Apparently she's okay. When he finally told me that, I must have looked green in the gills by then.
I know I had sweat pouring down my face in anticipation. So he told me to sit in a chair,
and wouldn't let us leave until he was sure I was okay. Doh !

He said he was stumped. Also he seemed apologetic as he repeated 2 or 3 times to me everything he checked. He's a good good man. He looked at me with those soulful eyes of his, and said he checked everything he could check. He just asked me to watch her and call him if I see anything like that happen again.

Now... I don't want to gross anyone out, but as the vet was speaking, it occurred to me Sparkles might have found "that something" on the floor which could have been left by Casey. So I'm taking Casey there in a couple of days to have that exact exam that Sparkles had today. I strongly doubt it came from Casey, I was in the same room with them at the time when I saw "the problem". I know Casey. If I had outputted that or anything else, he would have immediately started scratching at the carpet. If I throw a small wad of paper on the carpet, Casey walks over to it, and he inevitably scrapes his claws around it on the carpet. Even so, he's going in for a check-up. I need to have his claws clipped anyway.

I think we two brothers and our darling sister are all okay.

Both dogs are lying outside the front door and won't come in. I think they're worried about their little bro. Plus Daddy's in New York.

OMG! I bought a rotisserie chicken at the store yesterday and Puff and Marilyn are completely obsessed with it. When I brought it home I put it in the oven and they both sat there waiting. They were up on the stove, up on the cabinet by the stove waiting and waiting. When it was time for dinner, I finally gave them some and they ate it and then they wanted more and they ate that and then spent the rest of the night waiting for more.

I put it in the refridgerator to get them away from the stove. Now today they're still waiting. I fed them their usual morning catfood. They weren't very excited, and they did eat it, but they're still waiting for that chicken. They're usually asleep by now but they're here by the desk because they're afraid I'll eat the chicken and they'll miss it.

I should have learned because everytime I bring a chicken home they do the same thing.
I make all sorts of food, but they never obsess over anything like they do the chicken.

OMG, you guys...I apologize...that's not really Lerxst, but an incredible simulation! I don't have any pics of Lerxst sticking out his tongue yet, but this cat looks EXACTLY like he does when he raspberries, so I posted it as illustrative. I should have explained this. Sorry for the confusion!
