I DID see that one, and wondered at the time if there was a connection, or if his parents were just hippy-dippy types naming their kids weird things . . .

On the 1999 season there was a participant named Yes Duffy.
He was named Yes by his Yes fan parents it said...

I actually watched that show that summer with my daughters and during a couple of the shows he (Yes Duffy)stated he was named that because his parents loved the music group YES.
Wonder if they ever posted here or Yes Talk??

I'm almost certain that he had a sibling named Uriah (after Uriah Heap).

I didn't see the whole thing - ran into it one day when they were having a marathon of all the episodes after the fact, and got interested - watched most of it but I didn't see the first few shows.
I once worked with a guy named Maverick (real name) - his parents named him after the TV show . . .
