    I called the venue Monday.

They want meet and greeters in the lobby by the box office at 6.

That, of course, means no later than 5:45.

Damn, that it's before the show better not mean that Steve won't come out!!!

I ended up going to the show in Albany (another tale to be posted when I'm less exhausted) and heard on my drive up that the Meet & Greet had been pushed to after the show. That worked out great for me as I was late in getting there. One quick shot of some familiar and happy faces while we waited at the rear of the line...(all part of Melisa's plan!)
    ...apologies for the blurry pic...

So sorry Daniel! This must have been take just prior to Melissa inviting you back to the rear of the line. Nuts! For some odd reason they'd decided that the folks at the end of the line should be behind a barricade (..still pondering that as there were only about 30 of us left at that point...perhaps we looked dangerous? lol) The act of lining us up brought on the thought - Hey! we should take a picture! Poof, we have the result..

It was very nice speaking with you when the group was in Scottie's room after the post-show, wish we'd had more time! We'll have to make a point of it the next time around!!

That was nice talking with you Kathy, I had such a great day, and night...lol...my evening was unbelievable...

I think that this barricade was especially made for me so someone stop the line so I can stay longer at the table with the band...It actually worked, I got great dedication on 6 cds and my cd from Oliver and Steve * 3 ages of magic * was autograph by both men...Steve showed the cd to Benoît so he discover his duo work with Oliver....

    It was very pleasant....indeed.....uuuhhh...

Re: Albany, NY show Nov. 23

    so.....
after westbury and much soulsearching about whether or not to go to albany..

i get in my car and head out for albany.
    i am pretty stoked.

i somehow beat all those guys to the first rest stop, and then they get there and bolt without saying hello! LOl!

so i get on the road and i am listening to "and the word is live" and in the middle of awaken, ( i KNOW! tragic!)
i have to pee and i pull over to the rest stop.

lo and behold, who is walking in..chris and scotty!

i really had to take a double take in the bright light of day to make sure it was really them!
i think i recognised scotty more than chris.( in my head he looks like the pic in dhani's sig..)

so scotty and i go in to pee and chris gets on line for burger king.
we come out and we are gabbing all girl stuff... babies and stuff, and chris makes his way to the front of the line and is waiting..
so he bellows from the burger king line..."HEEEELLOOOO!"

and we start laughing and i take off..

    typical hungry man.
he is not the first guy waiting for me to finish talking LOL!

then i get back in the car and my cd player resumes awaken, and i realise that i was just annoying the genius playing amazing bass on the best song in the world that was playing in my car.
    wicked cool.

so i get up to albany and hang with the girls for a bit, then
i got very naked in scotties room.
(without him there! taking a shower you perv.. LOL!)

onward to the pre-show and what a great bar..met a guy with a killer WHO leather jacket, got some pics, and then ate and drank with wonderful yesfans..

walked upstairs to the show and this place is just soooo huge compared to westbury.
    BUT
we get downstairs and my ticket was like 12th row. i am happy.

but i see scottie hanging out in the front and go to say hi, and the lights go down.
we all sit down , there in the front row.. expecting to be kicked out any second..
    BUT WE DON'T!

me, scottie, mike and joey..all in the front row..right in front of steve.
    TOTALLY STOKED!

it was the best freaking seat that i ever had!
and i have those awesome guys to thank for it!

i watched the concert with awe, trying to wrap my brain around the fact that i could count the veins on steves left hand as he played directly to me.

when he played his acoustic set, i was mesmerized and you could have heard a pin drop..
    EXCEPT...

i really could have kicked scottie's and joey's ass because they just HAD to talk to eachother the whole time.
    an i was between them..

    don't get me wrong..
these are two awesome, smoking hot guys that i was proud to sit next to..
, but when they talked, the leaned in behind my little head and gabbed like two school girls who just met the most popular boy in school.

    YIKES!

i had to elbow them and tell them to shut up, and i even considered LEAVING the front row just to escape.

but my mega fandom prevailed and i stayed put.

    and then there is mikey.
    in his own wonderful world.
    larger than life.
dancing and blocking out the sun shining on the unfortunate second row.

i called over to him that there was a little kid in the second row who didn't even see one song of the concert yet..
so what do you think he did?
he pulled the kid up in front and started dancing with him!
    classic.
i got a pic of this kid just loving life.

and krista is there doing her thing and i got a great shot of her "working".. (come on now girl.., when i am snowboarding, i am "working" but hot damn i am loving it! and so are you!)

unbelievable, this concert was amazing! it was like the whole rest of the arena wasn't even there.

so we do meet and greet and go back to the hotel room..

i really got to meet so many amazing people, dan and pierre..kathy nyc..and i am sorry if i forget any names, but i think you know if you had fun with me!LOL!

i shared a room with carol(cvp) and let me tell you, she is sweet and kind and let me share her room.
carol, you are generous and considerate and didn't smoke me out and i am grateful.

i am so glad i got to know you better, but let me tell you, you are a little spitfire!
i got to see a side of you that is just fierce!
you are awesome, and i want you on my side!!LOL!

    and the other carol...
i found that we had something in common..
something on your computer.. and he may have been talking to you right then,.. but he was talking to me later..LOL!

i was so grateful to see billguitar who i did not get to hear you play enough guitar my friend!
i was so happy to see my wonder twin, yvette, and of course, mel, who makes magic happen everyday, and who i love so uch!

i let albany on such a high you wouldn't believe,

i am soooooooo glad i decided to go, and all the stars aligned and made it possible!

lmao what a story, denise! you never mentioned seeing Chris & Scotty at the rest stop! funny how Dale wasnt able to make Albany; he was so disappointed at not going to the Albany show. but, then, you were meant to. I am so happy I had that ticket; boy, we had some time, didnt we?

me, a spitfire, now that is way too funny. never thought of myself like that... I have to say, denise, you are awesome too!

and then there's Carol & Mel, 2 of the best people I have ever met.

Bill, Daniel, Pierre, it was such a pleasure to have met the three of you too!

and just think I didnt want to go to Albany. this was the first time I have ever driven that far alone, but I actually did it! no PTSD triggers at all. only trouble I had was at BJ's; too much noise for me which could have set me off. I was concerned that Dale was ill; I didnt want to leave him alone. he couldnt make the Asbury show either. poor man, his colitis is active again. keep him in your thoughts please as I worry so much about him.

    Oh what a night!

Listen! we were chatting during the song breaks and song introductions only!

However we were holding hands during the songs.

    in your dreams!
you guys were talking the whole time..
even during steves solo and to be over!
even while steve was angrily hushing people over to his right side (you can see this in video here on the site..)..

even then you guys couldn't resist saying "OMG this is so cool!!!!"and other exclamations..
    don't kid yourself..

it is a good thing you are so cute!
