Not sure what I'm making this year. Last year was standing rib and yorkshire pudding for both xmas eve and xmas day. This year, I don't know if we're hosting both. I'm considering an Italian food festival for xmas eve and a turkey for xmas day.

We do prime rib.
I will probably also have mashed potatoes and gravy, either sweet potato or turnip (maybe both), something green (green beans or asparagas) rolls and probably salad.
Mom will bake some pies for me, and I'll serve the family's peanut butter fudge recipe.

xmas eve,,,,all kinds of fish with pasta...xmas day,,,ham and all the trimings that go with it
I'd like to make (among other things) eggplant parmigiana for Christmas Eve, and I know we'll be at my in-laws for Christmas Day, so no cooking there.

As far as I know I'm spending Xmas day alone. So, I'll probably make something that I never have time to make, like homemade pasta sauce. Or maybe I'll buy something completely decadent that I would never think of eating under normal circumstances like maybe I'll buy lobster or something that is 43million calories per serving.

Christmas is my meal. I do the turkey thing at Thanksgiving, but I get to have my spiral, brown sugar ham w/pineapple for Christmas dinner. I'll probably make some mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, some vegetables to go with it (broccoli and cheese) and probably some homemade bread.
Eric loves baking so he'll be making some Christmas brownies, and I'll make an apple pie. We make them with Splenda, so at least I can control how much sugar I eat. We also make eggnog from my grandmother's recipe.
I'll make a few dozen pepperoni rolls and brownies and send them to my mother and my sister and her family. I wanted to go home to visit them for Christmas this year, but I think I'll try and go in January or February.

I never make a big meal for Christmas. I might cook a ham sometime when the kids are off school and eat ham sandwiches all week.

Christmas eve is something else. I usually make a New England boiled dinner (smoked shoulder) for my son and his girlfriend and I. We all exchange gifts that night.
I hate to cook both on the Eve and on the Day, but I usually have help w/ cleanup for both meals, so it's not too bad. Besdies, I have a little more energy than I used to.
