A band or album project with Hackett and Wilson would be enough for me. Live they'd have access to the classic material, CAS and their new album.

Just as an aside, apparantly on the Abacab album the plan was first to have a four part suite on it, consisting of Naminanu-Dodo-Lurker-Submarine. Eventually they decided against this, put Dodo/Lurker on the album and released the other tracks as B-sides to the singles from that album.

But if one wonders how the suite would have sounded:

    Sounds pretty good to me!
ReAwaken (after the Bethlehem Sands concert 2016):
Sometimes in music, the songs can transcend the band members themselves - I think Yes is such a band.

    Thanks Mr. H!

Knew about the 'Duke's Suite' from 1980 but up until now,
never knew about the 'Dodo Suite'.

    Been a fan since 1980.

On Abacab they made the considered decision not to do anything that sounded like anything they had done before. They sure succeeded in that (*cough). Part of that, no doubt, was the avoidance of "suites" or "epics".

I can tolerate even the worst of their 80s output, but the only track I ever want to skip is Never A Time - surely one of the dullest recordings in history, it would be at home on a late Collins or Mechanics album and has no redeeming features whatsoever. But I still love them.

It's funny...before I found out that there was in fact a suite idea for "Dodo", I always noticed the similarity in sound between the end of "Lurker" and the beginning of "Submarine".

Interestingly, the lyrics at the end of "Lurker" also describe a nuclear submarine:

"Clothes of brass - instruments in a submarine were often made of brass (it's non-magnetic)

and hair of brown - seaweed caught on a submarine resembles hair

Seldom need to breathe - submarines only surface occasionally

Don't need no wings to fly - nope, they fly underwater without flapping anything

And a heart of stone - enriched uranium is the heart of nuclear submarines

A fear of fire and water - the two biggest dangers on a submarine, fire and leaks

Who am I?" - can you guess from the hints above?
Was it sun through the haze,
    That made all your looks,
    As warm as moonlight?

@stever: I hope you give Lamb a few more listenings. I know people often say that kind of thing in the hope of changing someone else's mind, but in this case I personally found that I did not much like Lamb at first, and it still does not have many individual songs that I class as favourites, but I now find the album as a whole to be the most satisfying one of the whole lot. Get hold of the lyric sheet and - if you can - the text of the story that came with the original LP. Not that the story makes a lot of sense, but it still helps if you can immerse yourself in Peter Gabriel's crazy world where fantasy and historical reality intermingle. It's also easy to miss some of those lyrical double entendres if you are just listening without reading.
Actually, I do like Lamb, perhaps more than I expressed. But, as you say, it's an album and for full effect, really needs to be taken that way to be appreciated properly. I'm afraid I've become more of a song guy. I'm sure I'll listen to Lamb (a side of it anyway) periodically, when I'm in the same mood that leads me to listen to Close to the Edge, Scherherazade, Thick as a Brick, The Revealing Science of God, Supper's Ready, or the Gates of Delirium, etc.. I love all those, but can only listen to a side long about three times a week. In the mean time I have a few stand alone songs that are pretty good, like Carpet Crawlers, Counting Out Time, Back in NYC, The Lamia and others. All great songs, but for me, not on the level of the nearly full albums of shorter individual song masterpieces that I hear on Selling England, Trick of the Tail, and Wind and Wuthering. (so far).

I just don't get Gabriel , Just not into Gabriel - sorry
Hackett I like as a solo artist but I prefer Banks Collins and Rutherford as Genesis
Hackett jumped off GTR and left Howe to it and to this day gets all dark when taking about Genesis past history
