Hannibal Movie

Rented Hannibal (spelling?) last night. What a WEAK movie. It was nothing even CLOSE to the first one. To me it was like any other KILLING movie. Unlike the first one the methods in which he did in his victims were nothing neat like it was in the first movie.
ANyone know why Jodi Foster didn't do this movie? I forget why, but maybe it had something to do with the PLOT which was weak.
The lady that replaced her (name eludes me) just did not do it for me. Hell most of the actors did not. The thugs that they used to capture Lector were like any out of any normal LETS CATCH THE BAD GUY movie.
WEAK WEAK WEAK!!!!!!

"Yes now is not Yes before, things change. People change, band members come band members go, maybe we would all be happy if Yes did Like most bands, wither and fade away. But they won't and as long as Yes is here I will support them. They sound great, judge them for now not before. I am not a music critic, I am a Yes fan. I love Yes, I breathe Yes every day, there are many people I know that want to put duct tape around my lips to shut me up, because I cannot go 1 day w/o talking about Yes. Please open your eyes to today and not yesterday." (C) CRES 2010

Jodi Foster did not do this movie because she was busy directing one of her own films at the time. Which is true, but perhaps the script was also a deterrant. I have not seen it yet.

I distinctly remember Anthony Hopkins saying that he would not do a sequel if Jodi was not in it because it just would not have the same impact. I guess he changed his mind. Maybe he should have stuck to his earlier statement.

Well the impact was WAY OFF. Seemed like any other thrill kill movie that Hollywood would do. Real TAME!

Bike I read that...

..Jodi Foster had found the script to be offensive.
I found the book to be a strange read. It was an 'Anne Rice' "wannabe". It was ornate in language, almosed obsessed with the descriptions of things; anal retentive.
If it had been a loving account of modern sculpture, or a diatribe against 'DADAism', well, PERHAPS.
But, Thomas Harris wanted to write a 'beautiful'book about 'Cannibalism', & the subject matter winds up cancelling-out the poetry: no matter how beautifully you describe a car accident, it's still an accident. IMHO.

Re: Hannibal Movie

I avoid films where people are cruel to others. I prefer comedies.
