Ricks show this Wednesday has been moved from the Tower Theatre to the Electric Factory. I had great seats and now it's changed to general admission. I don't know why this happened, but I'm not real happy about it.
As much as we complain about TicketMaster, I found out about the change because I got a phone call from them. They gave me the option of using my tickets at the new venue or returning them for a refund. I haven't decided yet.
Anybody else going, having second thoughts, or just going to deal with it?

also, thanx for posting the change here-maybe some people didnt get that call YOU did, and you could be saving some people a lot of headaches by letting them know HERE!

I'm way too old to re-live the "old days"...and I don't think there are seats, TM says the tickets are standing room.
Anybody been there and can help me out?

That stinks - just my opinion, but I think the acoustics there stink compared to the Tower but I haven't been there in years (EF) so maybe it's better now. I would much rather see Wakeman at the Tower.

The Atlantic city show was General admission, there were tables, there was a line of about 30 people when we got there, and that was 2 hours before the show started 1 hour before the doors opened.
We did get a front table with about 6 other people at it, but it was very close and very nice

WOW!!!
This was my first time seeing Rick alone...absolutely fantastic. And just think, I almost returned my tickets because of the venue change. Upbgirl was exactly right, just like old times. I got there before the doors opened and had to wait with about 200 other fans. When I got in, I sat 5 rows from the stage dead center. I couldn't have been more than 20 feet from where Rick stood.
The acoustics were better than I expected. I'm sure being in the middle helped some. The place was filled, maybe 350-400 people, which is probably why they changed venues. The Tower Theatre would have looked empty. The setlist seemed to be the same as all the other places and I'm sure they got the same stories we heard tonight.
If you have the chance go see this show. I promise you will love it.

I'm sorry I said the acoustics stink - it was negative and just my memory of the last time I was there years ago and all the sound seemed to just be reverberating off those huge windows and I couldn't hear anything but echoing. I guess it was where I was standing.
I'm glad you didn't take what I said to heart and had a great time : )
