View Full Version : Why is Wakeman's "Out There" only available as an import?

I just listened to the samples of "Out There" available at rwcc.com; this sounds like a very good album, and judging by review's I've read it may even be one of his best. Why, then, is it being treated as such a minor release that it hasn't even been distributed in the States?

Reviews of the album are welcome as well.

There are some nice passages on the disc and of course, you're going to get the highlights on samplings from the website, but don't go out and waste your money on an import. I love Wakey, but this disc, IMHO, is very weak. The singer is horrible, the guitarist isn't much better--in fact, the guitar sounds like some typical album oriented rock pap from the 70s, the arrangements are boring. The final song is pretty good, but to me, it's not enough to save the album. Spend your money on an older release such as the Heritage album or one of the piano-based live releases. These are much superior.
