way better on relayer. the middle section loses a lot of intensity when they speed it up.

Hard choice, but I think I prefer the Relayer version for the crispness of it [if thats even a word!] but the live version does have that raw power to it which makes it a good listen.

yeah the guitar parts in the middle battle section is what makes the song great for me. they're very heavy, very noisy, very strange. the keyboards are also great. but on this live album, the guitars have a tiny tiny tone on them. yeah steve is playing it faster, but it's not as "heavy noisy or strange". also the keyboards are very very quiet.

Studio. Sorry, but it's just perfect (although not well recorded/mastered).

Live in Boston in 1974 was an ultimate Yes experince. The Symphonic DVD does it justice but I wore out two lps playing it and when I bought my third I finaly fliped it over to hear what was on the other side. So 3 lps, 2 cassets, 1 eight track, 1 cd and several other recorded versions. My vote goes to the Boston show.

I'd say the studio version is simply perfect, but this version really is completely awesome, and I enjoy listening to it very much. The symphonic version is very good as well, but doesn't have anywhere's near the amount of the intensity as this one or the Relayer version.

i don't like steve's guitar tone on this version, like i said earlier. the thick attacking tone is gone, and it sounds not very well.

I prefer the studio version up until 'Soon'. That part in almost surreal on Yesshows.
