I was tipped off that Alan was playing with a side group he has here in the Seattle area. It was fun seeing him and the other notable players.

I really enjoyed the sound crew. Good sound at an outdoor gig. I'm definately looking into getting them for a show.

What was in the set list? Anything we'd know?

Okay, Martin. I'll fill you and Dee in.

The band wasn't too bad. Okay, I guess. Interesting moments of the setlist:

Imagine (Alan being the drummer on the original)
Barracuda (Roger Fisher guitarist from Heart)
Born to be Wild
Magic Carpet Ride (Goldy McJohn organ player from Steppenwolf)
Owner of a Lonely Heart
Roundabout (full version)

Alan played drums on all songs. I didn't know most of the rest, but they sounded familiar. It was being filmed with 3 cameras. I'll follow up and see if it will be aired or available.

i LOVE my back woods town, folks, BUT
it sure sucks that we live so far away from a major concert venue..
does a 1200 seat casino count? weird al tonight, at that very casino..

great set list! that axe man for heart was NO slouch either! saw em a few years back, and he smoked!

kind of sounds similar to ringo & his all starr band we saw a couple of weeks ago.

everyone in his band got ot showcase some of thier tunes.. it was almost like seeing 5 bands that night. i liked it, myself..kid liked it, too.

good for alan-that boy must put some miles on, huh??
thanx for the post paul.. you are so lucky to be close to good live music!
