Today I popped in a cd I picked up from a weed here. I slipped it in and played through the tunes a bit skipping around. The sound quality is not the best, back in 87 you could say the tech. just was not there like it is today. Well I came across Holy Lamb and decidied to listen to it. I had always liked the studio cut and do not recall hearing it on the Big Gen tour. Well Jon just soared on the tune. His voice was wonderfull. I was then shocked as Trevor went into a long solo at the end of the tune, sort of like he does live on Endless Dream. I realize that some of you do not care for this era and it's sound of Yes but for me I was totally stunned at how well the song came off. I have never heard this tune live and to hear the way they sung and played it was quite moving. The tune just came alive and you could feel Trevors emotions in his solo. Being one that got into Yes during this era I do miss Trevor and his playing.

Ah Tim!

I did the same thing and had relatively the same reaction the other day. Picked up a weed from the Talk tour and Trevor's guitar on I am Waiting was SO SWEET, so wonderful and so DIFFERENT from the other weed I have of that tour.

Same thing with listening to the versions of the old classics from the ABWH tour--WOW--kind of restores your faith in humanity, you know!

I've noticed the slight changes in pitch with Jon's voice and how he sings the song...how he says the words in the song ( am I over listening??...smile) Heart of the Sunrise and it's evolution up to the last tour.
