On this day in Yes history:
On this day in 1974 Yes played at the Kongreshalle (Congress Hall) promoting their 'Tales from Topographic Oceans' album in Germany. By then 'The Remembering' was dropped and the setlist shorter. Rick Wakeman had probably already started writing 'Journey to the Center of the Earth' by then in anticipation of his departure. What a wonderful day in Yes history: Tales was being toured, which was most probably Yes' most extravagant tour featuring by far the BEST setlist possible (at the time) and who would have thought Rick was about to leave? Not me, I wasn't even born yet.....:rolleyes:
