View Full Version : Move over, southern rock ... the Beatles will never be the same ...
I was forced by economics to briefly explore southern rock back in the winter ...
... and now I'm in London Fog, a show band that does all British rock of the '60s, mostly Beatles. They're turning me loose on the Lennon/McCartney canon ...
Be afraid ...

you know they are a mainstay of southern rock. I use to listen to them, Kansas, Marshall TUCKERRRRR, but I just LOVED Skynard.
To bad the cover bands have made them the redundant portion of the setlists.

Doesn't sound so scarey to me Q! Have fun with it!
I am doing Lennon. I have Lennon's hair circa The White Album at this time, and if you've seen my picture in the SHOW FACE thread, you might notice I wear Lennon-style glasses. Unfortunately, I lost the glasses this winter.
I can do Lennon's voice but generally prefer McCartney material to sing. However, they gave me "Hey Jude," for the slimmest of reasons: I'm the only guy in the band who can scream a high F!!!

So, what tunes are you guys playing?
The two incarnations of the band I was in used to play RAIN, ALL I'VE GOT TO DO, NOT A SECOND TIME, I'M SO TIRED, HEY BULLDOG, GOLDEN SLUMBERS/CARRY THAT WEIGHT, TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS and a couple others. We also did solo Beatles stuff like RUN OF THE MILL (George), TOO MANY PEOPLE (Paul), SUNSHINE LIFE FOR ME (Ringo) and ISOLATION (John).
I wish I had recordings of these.
