Has anyone besides me seen Roger's poster he did for the 25th anniversary for Starbucks a few years back? It seems to me I may be the only one. I practically had to beg the manager to give it to me (good thing I was a loyal customer). When I met Roger at a sci-fi con in Atlanta about three years ago (they used the Red Dragon pic for the program cover), I had him sign it, and he almost forgot he did it. It now hangs in my dining room, signed, framed, and very rare. Some guy at the convention found out I had it wanted to buy it off of me, but he couldn't find me in time. I wouldn't sell it anyway. It's a beautiful picture of a mermaid floating over familiar-looking rocks with Starbucks done in the Yes-style lettering. I suppose I could post a pic if a lot of people were interested. I just wanted to find out if I was only one to have seen this.

Why does it sound familiar? Perhaps I've heard of it before or caught a glimpse and dismissed it as hallucination. At any rate you should definitely post a pic of it.

It's on www.rogerdean.com

I remember going into a Starbucks and seeing one but not registering that it was a Roger Dean painting, due to Roger Dean not being known for doing Coffee shop ads. I saw it on the web a year or so later and knew right away I had missed an opportunity to beg a manager to give ME one!!:(

Oh well!

I remember when that poster came out. I begged every Starbucks store around me (and there are a lot) to have one of those, but the most a few were willing to do was have a raffle. I never won the poster, so then I tried begging Starbucks via their customer service. Had no luck there either. *sob* The only thing I was able to get was a Starbucks anniversary program and there's a picture of the Dean poster in it, along with the other posters celebrating the store's anniversary.
