ACK!!!

I just saw a new version of this CD in the store for 11.98. It has a slight variation on the original artwork, and it now has ANDERSON BRUFORD WAKEMAN HOWE 'AN EVENING OF YES MUSIC PLUS' right on the cover, in the same lettering as used on the ABWH studio album.

I checked to see if they put STARSHIP TROOPER in the right place this time. The previous issue of the CD has ST at the end of disc 1, even though it should have been at the end of disc 2.

STARSHIP TROOPER is missing from this new version.

The original AN EVENING OF YES MUSIC cd in the chunky jewel case didn't have STARSHIP TROOPER on it. The next version of the CD, issued in a slim jewel case, was called AN EVENING OF YES MUSIC PLUS, and included ST as a bonus...apparantly this is the PLUS.

I suppose we could call the newest version of this AN EVENING OF YES MUSIC MINUS.

You mean they're rereleasing previously released recordings? Say it isn't so!

I know of at least four different versions, but they've been around for a long time already. Is this completely new? On which label?

I think it was an import from Europe somewhere. I didn't notice the label...I tend to think these sort of deals are out of the bands' control.

I've actually got both the American (Herald) and European (Disky Communications) version of this CD. The European version does not have Starship Trooper at all and states that is it "courtesy of King Biscuit Flower Hour". And I think Andersonic is right in that there is more than these two versions out there, but I'm not 100% sure.

But lost it in a housefire!
...it, as well as a fine vintage Les Paul, a $2,000.00 Guild 'Jumbo' Acoustic, a Martin Herringbone Acoustic, and every mastertape I had of my own work...
And bye the way...
Every YES album on vinyl and Disc!

and...

'ABWH: A Night Of Yesmusic Plus!' on gold disc.

And it sounded sweet.

And Starship Trooper was included...

But so it goes!

And life goes on!

I have the USA version on 24 K gold disc by Herald. The day I bought it I recall there was also the "other" version without TROOPER in the chunky jewel case. I wisely went for the one with TROOPER. The one without was reduced to 8.99, but I went for the 14.99 one instead.

I am curious though...how much different could a gold disc sound compared to a standard disc? My KEYS disc is standard and my KEYS 2 is gold. They both sound quite the same quality.
