All right I will be the first vote on this one. I am not struggling with this one. Both pieces keep the album flowing.

I voted for 5% For Nothing just because it drove me nuts the first time I heard it. What is this about? Idea # 1. I bet the length of this song is five percent of the album length. I did the math. I do not remember what it was but it wasn't 5%. The puzzle remains. Maybe those one second (or less) intervals of silence throughout the piece make up five percent of the song. But how do you figure this one out. Boom the Yesstories book comes out and Mr. Bruford talks about management taking 5% Percent For doing Nothing. Oh, I get it. Once again Mr. Shupe was thinking too hard. I love some of my interpretation before the days of I knew of Yes books and before the internet. (I still think Man In A White Car is about the moon.)

I sort of feel guilty for not voting for something involving Brahms. I mean he such a classic in the true sense of the word. Plus, it was Wakeman playing. However, I think an orchestra doing the part of Brahms sounds better.

So there is my two cents worth which of course (you know it's coming) is worth about 5 % of nothing.

Cheers. That Lunar Eclispe put me in a great mood.

Yes, Robert - I read your post about the eclipse! I'll bet you were in a great mood! LOL

I voted Cans and Brahms. Although 5% For Nothing is an interesting piece, I just find it that - interesting. Not something that I have to listen to over and over. The Wakeman piece is much more entertaining to me.

Thanks :D

I used to do this on a KISS board before it shut down....I must say this has been more fun and far less confrontational....I love KISS too (Go Figure that one out...I Can't), but Yes Fans are far more thoughtful...

Yarstruly - remember that thread that was bands that Suck and Rock at the same time? I think you posted in response to my admitting to being a Kiss fan. Doesn't surprise me that there are few fans of both bands!

I was on a Van Halen board for a while and found the same thing - confrontational, unfriendly people. Yesfans is a whole different world, and Yes is so much better than both of those bands too.

By the way (and to stay on topic) I voted "5%", but tardistraveler said some things I agree with about Cans and Brahms being more entertaining.

I reconsidered. Still came out preferring 5% though! :drummer:
