FRAGILE is one of those albums where every track is in a great sequence in relation to the others.

I grew up on Fragile!
I find it as comforting as going back home for a visit.
(Sadly, Mom and Dad sold the house in which I grew up, but you get the idea).

Fragile, excellent album. It was my 1st Yes album, sorta. After seeing Yes on 3-6-72,not knowing who they were, well the next day I bought The Yes Album and Fragile. HOS,SSOTS ,The Fish, just blew me away and still do 31 years later. I di admit to skipping over Roundabout sometimes.

I too love that album it was the first Yes album that most of us ever got a chance to view Roger Dean's art work. It was also the first Yes album that Wakeman played on I'm pretty sure. It was not my first Yes album as I had already heard and was very familiar with their third album entitled the "Yes Album" I in fact became more familiar with Close to the Edge than Fragile for whatever reason. It was the first Yes album that garnered one of their biggest (certainly at that time and still considered today) hits of all time "Roundabout"
I own and proudly wear my favorite t-shirt of all time my Fragile t-shirt. I always get compliments or comments on that shirt, and the occasional familiar glances w/smiles from passerbys. It's almost like the t-shirt rekindles some distant memory in some of the older folks like myself.
Roger Dean's stuff still inspires everybody I was showing some of his artwork to one of the youngsters in my class who is really into fantasy art and who had never seen any of his stuff. He was blown away by Dean's work and he thought he was a new artist or something. Then I had to go into my Yoda mode!

and your mom brought you up right!! yippee!
i, too, keep wearing my yesshirts around to see if anyone will notice..definate conversation starter if you run into another fan somewhere..[hasnt happened to me so far-unless it's at a yes concert]
people always comment on the lovely colors or bright designs..but dont know who Yes is..at least it opens the door, and sometimes, the people will come back and say, "hey-i just heard your band on the radio-i know who THOSE guys are!"
ahh, fragile..whenever i send out cd's, i always put 'fragile' on the envelopes and it always makes me smile. whenever i see that word, i always think of Yes..
but i have noticed the last few years, they have changed the triangle part in 'yind'.. anyone else notice that? it seems to be around two beats later when they play it live than it is on the lp..
really messes me up, too. i mean i have been hitting that triangle for over 25 years in the right spot, and now they change it on me..:nono:
I would compare this album to the dark side of the moon. the transition from song to song is what makes the album so great.

I love Fragile too. I love the picture of the Egg, I'm an artist and I bet that took some patience to do that- that was very cool of your Mom Yesgirl93.....Fragile turned me onto all the aspects of Yes and all that they can do individually and collectively together on one album.
