Does anyone know of any Yes concert footage out there that has not been released? I have heard of a "Big Generator" concert that was actually shot professionally that was never released. Any ideas?

There's actually quite a lot of filmed Yes stuff out there and I have seen a great deal of it but then again looking at lists it seems I have only scratched the surface. Amongst the most interesting is Yes live in Glasgow which Chris Squire thinks was filmed by the management at the time or even Atlantic. I have seen this footage and it was filmed on the Going For The One tour. Geoff Downes also told me there was a concert or at least a couple of concerts filmed in America on the Drama tour but he doesn't know who would have that footage. Again he thinks the idea for filming came from Brian Lane and the management at the time. I'd really love to see this footage.

Ackleyt and Jonk welcome to YESFANS. Keep an eye out the threads that are called "RE-WEEDS". There are several shows available on VCD and CD that we share with eachother. The rule is that if you take one weed, you must re-weed three (3). That is burn three copies and share it with other members of this site. You can use one copy as a "burnless" copy.

I have a fuzzy VHS copy of a outdoor show with Mr. Moraz. I've had it for 'bout twenty years and if I remember correctly, it's about an hour long. Was anything else from the Relayer tour pro shot? What about the TFTO tour?
Yes should follow Zep, clean their vaults and release a DVD of 70s Yes. Keith Emerson is currently working on hunting down ELP concert video footage for a ELP DVD.

There is the new (within the last 2 years) 2 DVD set called QPR. It is a Relayer show done in London at the Queen's Park something. Being outdoors, too, you may have a copy of this.
The entire world is looking for Tales footage!

Yup, I bet it's the same show. 2 DVD set? Must be much longer than my tape. What's the setlist? How's the quality? I'd love to get this. I looked for the RE-WEEDS thread and couldn't find it.

It's a vintage recording put on DVD's, so don't expect anything beyond 1976. BUT, I think it is a must-have.

Welcome to the site. The QPR disc isn't the best quality, but its a must own disc for the concert itself. The age of the recording is the downside of the dvd. If you do a search in this forum (go back aways) you should find other threads about it.
The weeds and re-weeds can be found in the "for sale or trade" forum.
I Have a number of Yes Videos and DVDs unfortunately I do not have the facillity to copy them otherwise I wouldn't mind doing copies of the rarer stuff. I have on Video the following
Glasgow 1977
Around The World In 90 Dates Union Tour 1990
South America 1994
San Luis Obispo 1996
Promo video for Time and a word with Steve Howe miming to Peter Banks guitar track
I am sure there is loads more stuff out there and with the Led Zeppelin DVD doing so well every band with some sort of history will be looking to do something similar.
Sorry, but I had to edit most of this list as the items listed are official items and are not allowed to be traded.

Have fun!
Let me tell you how it works once you receive a weed.
In the FOR SALE or TRADE thread, you start a new thread for your show and you take 3 recipients. They Private Message you their address and you send them their copies. They in turn, do the same thing. Can I recommend Chicago 2002 tour. It's where they have the middle school chorus singing Nine Voices with the band. Very cool. It's those little things from the shows that make the weeds so awesome. For your listening pleasure. No fair Ebaying.

though of course I would not advocate anyone buying anything illegal, but all you have to do is stick 'yes glasgow' into a worldwide ebay search and there you go - it also comes with an hours worth of footage from the 1977 Montreaux sessions - why can't the band do a Zeppelin, gather all this stuff together, clean it up and please us all?!?!?!?

I have just seen the Apollo film, very rough quality and not quite complete but still great footage. Recommended if you get the chance.

Fer sure, fer sure!
Just make sure you get the PAL versions (UK, right?). I may have linked you to the NTSC versions, but at least you have the titles.

Aye mate,
Already undergone that pain in the arse and ordered these DVDs:
KTA (currently listening to/watching it, and it's the 'Nads!)
Yesyears
Best Video Hits
Union Tour 91
and ALL of them are in US format! Doh! Luckily my computer comes with something call 'PowerDVD', a package which plays just about anything! And luckily I have an 'All Regions/Formats' DVD-player here too. I have to say that I'm not disappointed with any of them though as they all contain some great nuggets of info, Wakeman's habitual japery, some moments of brutal honesty from band members (past and present) and some damned fine performances. Well pleased with the lot actually. Thanks again!

Yes, I have a copy othe the Old Grey Whistle Test with Steve, Jon, Chris, Patrick, and Alan presenting their solo videos. Tha Steve videos are of Ram, Beginnings(with Patrick), and part of Break Away From It All. It's great stuff. I wish that all of the Bands' solo stuff would be released on DVD, along with the Tales performance from Cobo Hall in Detroit Feb. 28th, 1974. Here's to hoping.....
