Lately TV Land has had SANFORD AND SON on about the time I start getting ready for work. Although there are a fair share of dumb episodes, some of them are hysterical. Redd Foxx was great on this show. It has aged well. Much of it is still quite funny to me.

Lately, I have been enjoying the Seinfeld reruns. Great Ensemble cast. Michael Richards' physical comedy is up there with classic Dick Van Dyke and Chevy Chase. Hit and miss but when they hit they hit huge. The episode about The Contest was bold and a riot. Female name rhyming with female body parts, the double dip, shrinkage, sponge worthy, handicap parking spaces, regifting, and the list goes on an on. Very contemporary comedy.

Youknow what is fun. Ask someone if they know the entire Flintstones theme song. Invaribly, they will say "Yes". Then ask them to sing it. Most get hung up and start asking others and the debate over the theme songs begin. Even at this moment I get hung up. Great fun try it.

And also, you may already know this...but the theme to Gilligan's Island and King Crimson's IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING can each be sung with each other's lyrics.

trigger happy tv!! woo!!
there was one deal where there was this construction worker holding a stop sign in the middle of the street and people would stop...he would make sure everything was ok and he would flip the sign over, but the other side of the sign said stop too! so you would see people start to go and realized that the sign still said stop and they would stop abruptly...lol!!

Warning! Warning! Alient approaching.
That show and Dark Shadows were my fixes.
What did I last watch that made me laugh? Elimidate. You know the show where they get one guy and three girls (who some display absolutely no ounce of feminine pride) go at it to win the coveted spot of I'm-so-easy-I'm-yours. It's the process of competition that cracks me up.

Married With Children & MASH [especially the first 4 seasons]. Poor Al Bundy, I feel his pain. I was compared to Kelly Bundy a lot as a teen. :D
Veering off course a bit, anyone remember Night Court & Parker Lewis Can't Lose? I watched them religiously as a teen. The Monkees were great too. Best unintentionally funny show: Batman. I wish they would bring them back.

The latest TV I've enjoyed is repeats of "Family Guy" both on Teletoon (Canadian Cartoon Network [and not nearly as good i.m.o.]) and on DVD.

I loved Night Court. I found A&E was playing NC during the day last year. What a hoot to see all those episodes again. God I miss Thelma - RIP.
