sounds like you were listening to him recently! [but i thought elvis was the king! hahaha!!]
i used to never listen to relayer, even tho it was my big brothers favorite album.. then, when i heard they were performing it again, i began 'rehearsing' so i could get into it live..it is now one of my favorites, too..[bolstered by the fact that that drum sequence/battle for gates was one of the coolest things i'd ever seen them do]

Think I've posted this before - but seems appropriate here.
I got to see Moraz perform in a very small venue - about 40 people there. Only instrument was the piano.
For about 3 hours he totally amazed us! His energy was relentless! He attacks the piano in a way I've never seen before!
I feel so fortunate that I got to witness this. And also got to meet him - was such a kind, gracious person!

Hey, that's pretty good, Bluetailfly!! Imagine what the King and the Wizard would do TOGETHER!!!! WOW! Mind-boggling!
For those of you who would love not only a beautiful, but astounding acoustic piano CD, I highly recommend Patrick's 2000 release, RESONANCE. It's available through his website,
www.patrickmoraz.com ~where there are also samples of Resonance you can listen to. CHECK OUT BIRD ON A WIRE!!!
Absolutely LOVE that one!
CLAUDIO!! If you don't already have Resonance, you MUST get it.....I think it is one of Patrick's best efforts ever.
And you too, Dragonfly!! I hear you are a talented pianist yourself....I KNOW Resonance would take you places n back again!!
TARDIS!! How very cool!! He is a nice fella, isn't he? Very meek, polite and seemingly humble. I saw him play up close on just an acoustic piano 3 times with Bill Bruford during the Music For Piano & Drums and Flags tours....incredible!! Would have loved to have seen the "recital" basically, that you describe!! WOW!!!
Dragonfly? Quantum? Ever check out Children's Concerto from Music For Piano & Drums? I've dabbled with that one from time to time, and have bits and pieces of it figured out...all of the intro, chunks/sections through the rest of the tune, etc. It's a challenge, but such a pretty piece.....see what you guys can do with it, maybe??!! LOL!! (Puh-leeeeeze!!! HELP!! Hahahaha!!)
Upbgirl....ME???? Listening to Moraz lately??
Whatever gave you THAT idea???!!! ;)
