Bill is my Yes drummer. He did things with time that other drummers just do not do. The band evolved in a way that did not carry his ideas with it. And in fact they are a bit ecclectic. But I'm just glad we had him as the engines on this big rocket of a band caught fire and his rhythms were what allowed them to reach escape velocity with CTTE.
A Toast to Bill!!
I've read him making comments about how difficult it is to tour with his equipment in a world of high security brought about by terror. Maybe he needs to ground himself with Rick and Jon in the UK there and record something.

Bill is an infinitely talented class act. I love everything he's ever done re: music.

I'd like to see Bill record with Jon & Rick, and bring in (say) Peter Banks.

I saw one person mention Bill's book. Anyone else read it yet? I thought it was a very well written, insightful glimpse into his music world.

I have a hard time choosing a "favourite" drummer....but I think if someone made me absolutely choose it would be Bill Bruford. He is so talented and just really a class act. I have a lot of respect for him.
