I heard about Muse back in 2001. I was on this video game forum and this one guy always used them as his avatar and talked about them a lot. He was a fanatic back then. I never heard their music until a few years later. I now can see why he was a fan. I love a lot of their songs now too.

I saw them perform Uprising at the MTV video awards.
It was great.

We're off to see Muse tomorrow - woo-hooh!!! Saw them at Wembley in 2007 and they were incredible.

Will listen out for Dr Who moments (strangely, I'm a member of a Dr Who forum, so I feel I'm on home territory on this one....). Not so sold on the Queen-tastic stuff on the new album, which I am listening to at this very moment....

The descending minor-chord arpeggio sounds like a bar near the end of the Dr.Who theme. The synth voice is similar, too.

Does anyone remember a mash-up of the Dr.Who theme & Gary Glitter's Rock & Roll, pt.2 from about 20 years back...? Think the band called themselves The TimeLords, and the song may have been called Doctorin' the TARDIS. Was listening to Uprising the other day & had a flashback from the football-shouts!

Just saw Muse last night! They played a lot from The Resistance - Uprising, Resistance, Undisclosed Desires, United States of Eurasia plus Plug In Baby, Knights of Cydonia, Supermassive Black Hole, Starlight, Time is Running Out ... they were great!

Different setup this time, Timmo. I've only seen them in a concert-style venue before not a festival. They only had 1.5 hours but they were bloody good.

Definitely go and see them if you have a chance.

Pedro I think The Resistance which is thier latest one is a great place to start. Make sure you buy if you can either the cd+dvd combo or the box set. Great stuff

The Resistance didn't grab me, although I've grown to like it.

The way to get turned on to Muse is to go to a show.

That's a good place to start. I'm biased, the Roundabouts were there.

I've got a lot of time for their earlier albums, particularly Origin of Symmetry.

Anyone see the Knights of Cydonia video? Freakin' hilarious! I was watching a lot of videos last night (after I realized I was missing out on something real important), then spent more time downloading stuff and staying up way past my bedtime.
