Wow what a great question. This is my king of thread. Hold on and let me go get the cd..........

Up the stairs I go.....

Back down the stairs I go .....

Got the cd and waiting for the tubes to heat up on the stereo...

First the given... Steve has stated on a few occasions that the 175D was the primary guitar used on The Yes Album. And Steve has always liked to use a volume pedal. I think the one he used in this period was a Sho-Bud

First part of solo- 175D, Cry Baby Wah Wah, Fender Amp.
Second part - 175D, Fender Amp with Natural Distortion
Third part - Nylon String Guitar
Forth part - 175D with a Gibson or Electro Harmonix Big Muff Pi fuzz box. He used those 2 a lot in those days.
Fifth part - 175D Neck Pickup.
Sixth part - 175d - Fender amp natural distortion.

Sound right?

Your answer almost made me think I mis-read the question! I appreciate the detail of the neck pickup.

The more you post, the more required reading for our guitar player!

Rabin105, was this what you were after? The wah-wah is obvious and I am sure you knew that. Were you after a brand name?

One more thing...that solo bit where its JUST steve howe, the scratching noise...thats actually steve raking the strings behind the bridge on his 175, in between the bridge and the tailpiece.

TRY THAT WITH YOUR STRAT! hehe.
