Anyone have any information on this song? I downloaded this song and would really like to know where it came from. It has Chris Squire on vocals, apparently. The only other information is the LP title, "xxxxxxxxxxxxxx". Can anyone tell me what this is? I've never heard it before.

It's a bootleg album. I've never owned it or heard it, but I've read about it. These are demos that were stolen from the band, recorded in the UNION period. The only reason I have removed the bootleg album title from your post is because of our site policy, in the interest of Yes, to not have bootleg album titles mentioned here.

I'm not sure what Rob is referring to, but there is a song called Say Goodbye on the World Trade cd Euphporia, that has Chris doing vocals and Bass.
World Trade, btw was Billy Sherwoods band before and after being with Yes.

I've been caught thinking I knew what I was talking about...Actually the title of the LP made me think what I had thought. I'm not familiar with the World Trade CDs.

The first World Trade came out in the early 90's, the second was about 4 years ago. On the first one, Billy gives thanks to "The Fish". Basic song writing, but definately has a Yes feel to it. Closer in sound, however to Conspiracy.
Chris, Alan and Billy have completed Conspiracy 2 and should be out later this year.

Its NOT a bootleg.
If it's a single song and not an album, nor a bootleg record, I'd say chances are it might be but the last song on the "Conspiracy" CD by Squire and Sherwood.
This CD consists of 13 tracks, but only the first 10 are listed and credited on the cover and in the booklet - the last 3 are "hidden" (there's simply a long silence between song 10 and 11, which catchs one unaware when it starts) - I suppose this makes for the title of the album.
Of these 3 last songs, the two first ones were "yessified" and previously included in "Open your Eyes" (which was released before "Conspiracy"), and this makes it easy to know what their respective titles are (in fact, the 1st is "Open your Eyes" itself, and the 2nd "Man in the Moon").
The 3rd and last one goes completly untitled by all means, though, but the line "Say Goodbye" is repeated throughout the verse, and hece it has been titled after that.
I hope this is the right answer...
(By the way, IMHO "Open your Eyes" (the song) sounds great under its original Squire-Sherwood form - better than it did on its Yes incarnation.)

I agree. I also like the Man On The Moon version, but I didn't like the More We Live version on it.
I have trouble understanding some of the lyrics on Say Goodbye. Is there anywhere I can find out what they are?

It is virtually the same version that appears on the World Trade cd.
Sorry, Joe, no lyrics printed there either.

Say Goodbye
(Squire/Sherwood)
Have I wasted a lifetime waiting for the sun
Thinking I was the only one
I watched as all my dreams came crashing down
I believe it's time for me to say
Say goodbye
Say goodbye
Say goodbye
Seems like now more than ever
We need to find some way
To guide our endangered world
To brighter days
The future of the earth depends on you and I
To live or die we must decide (Say goodbye)
You'll never see the tears I cry
Inside ??? now I say goodbye Oh
Say goodbye
Say goodbye
Oh
Say goodbye
To think that we can last forever going on this way
Burning down the very key to our survival
To see the forest falling like a rain
To believe again in our revival
The less we fail the more we try
Abandon fear, say goodbye
Where will we be tomorrow
So many roads to follow
From the mountains to the sea
Hear the voice of reason calling for you
Save the children save the old
Stop the world from growing colder
We're reaching out for you (?) now say goodbye
Like a teardrop in the ocean
We dissolve in our emotion
Release the pain within our heart
Say goodbye
Watching as all our dreams materialize
Before our eyes
Now we don't have to say goodbye
Say goodbye
Now we don't have to say goodbye
Say goodbye
Say goodbye to all the anger
All the vengeance that we hold inside
Say goodbye
Lift all the lies and confusion ???
Say goodbye
