Can someone tell me the difference betweeb the original VHS and the newer DVD of 9012Live? Someone told me the DVD has "extra stuff on it" - but what?
It has Roundabout and also you do have the option of watching the concert with or without the special effects added on the original. Does have some "behind the scenes type material. If you find the special effect on the original to be dated... then this one is for you.
Worth having for the behind-the-scenes.
I haven't even bothered to watch the concert yet - it's not on my things-I-must-do-in-the-near-future list.

I agree it is pretty entertaining and by far my favorite bit of the DVD.

I think the extras show them flying into Edmonton Industrial airport- first place they ever played in in North America. Never saw them there but lived there 1965-79. My brother is somewhere in the Edmonton audience, can't find him. I saw the
Vancouver show.
Never seen the VHS, the DVD is good; did they edit in/correct any parts after the fact for the CD/DVD?

Does Starship Trooper on the 9012LIVe DVD have the vocal intro to the song where Rabin and Squire keeping singing "Starship Troooooo=PER" over and over while Jon does a little scat-singing? I've had a bootleg time code version of the 9012LIVE show w/o special effects for about a decade now. Just wanted to know if they added it back in since it was cut off the official VHS version...chris :-)

No, darn it! And I love that segue so much on other shows from that tour, you can tell those two are having way too much fun, lol.

The DVD has Krista on it. :-)
RE Starship Trooper, there is a pretty funny moment on the DVD where Jon is singing "you and you may follow..." he totally runs out of gas half way thru the word Follow... hand clutches his chest and you can clearly hear Chris pick up the singing in the background.
