I heard an Alternate version of Run Through The Light recently,it was from a
Radio Broadcast. Trevor Horn comments on the song, saying its just a bizzare track.I suppose it was an early mix of the track, not a lot of Steves Mandolin,an extra synth and the Backing Vocals were different. The Drums didn't seem as gated (reverse Reverb)

The Buggles album, Adventures in Modern Recording, includes the track "I am a Camera", which is an alternate version of "Into the Lens"...

I used to drive my barracks mates nuts playing along to Drama and Tormato. They have some of my favorite bass parts of all the albums (Does it Really Happen, Tempus Fugit, Machine Messiah, Future Times...I may as well just list all the tunes!)

That version of Light was issued as a single in 1981 after the Drama lineup disbanded. I don't quite get why that mix was issued as a single, and at that time. The song was relativley radio friendly, I'm surprised it wasn't the lead off single from the album and that there wasn't a video made for it.

I Have the expanded Drama C.D. with the Single Version and it sounds different. As i mentioned there's not so much of Steves mandolin,an extra keyboard, and the backing vocals are slightly different.
I also heard another version of Tempus Fugit recently (not the tracking session version)
Steves guitar overruns into the big YESSS bit,no speeded up Vocals on the ending, just an Organ fade out and Alans drum fills are slightly different.
The track is slightly slower as it needs a speed correction.

Maybe The Alternate Drama Album next?
