For some strange reason I don't know one person personally that listens to "YES" the way I do....it's just the way the situation has developed over the years.
I often go to the concerts alone....which I don't mind because I am there for the music.
Is this common?

I'm KC, i love cats, have 2 (Sam and Buddy). I go to concerts "alone" (drive in car by myself to the arena/show), but i ALWAYS find my Yes friends at the Shows, so i am not alone there. But i go home alone... (woe is me today).

HI fellow RN I too am an RN. 400 clinical hours from having my Nurse Practitioner !!! Welcome to YESFANS !!!! I hypnotized my husband into loving YES !! His first show was MSG 2004 so it was rather easy..........so I am no longer a LONER YES fan !

Totally common, I've always been like that, until *In the present *...now I'm getting the chance to meet many Yesfriends from here at Yesfans...Yes music will still be played for years to come....welcome ...enjoy and post often...nice to have new ideas and comment....

Me too! I've gone to concerts with friends, but they really weren't into yes like I am. At work I'm the only one that likes yes and all through school nobody really cared for yes.

Glad this forum is here, good to know there's lots of yes nuts out there and we're not alone!

Yes I would say those who continue to support Yes and go to shows are in a special class. ;-) Who cares what other normal people in your life think. Yesmusic is special. Daniel is right, too and alot more enjoyment and friends start right here on Yesfans. Welcome to the site. :-)

I am also a lone Yes fan... lone Progger, too... amongst my family and friends. However, I do have lots of "long distance" friends whom I run into whenever I can travel to concerts.

I love cats, too, but don't have any at the moment... my life is too unstable for the permanence of furry friends.

I am in the medical field, too... medical billing for a mental health organization.

This is a huge website, so you will never be bored... trust me! There is always something to read or to respond to here, often not related to Yes at all.

Welcome, IAM. I'm not a nurse but I've been to YES concerts alone. Sadly the majority in my age group prefer "hard rock" or pop to the "pompous"(:rolleyes:) music of YES and other prog bands. But I enjoyed myself anyway. Most of the people who attend their concerts are friendly and sociable-like the folks on this site:D.
