Since I am astonished at the seemingly continous questions on Kaye's contribution in YesWest and in particular Talk why is it noone asks the question of where was Squire on Talk ?!

Seemingly continuous? It is a point of discussion now and again, true, but I'd say the use of the word "continuous" is rather inflationary. I know people are touchy about discussing whatever Tony has or has not contributed to Yes, but it's just discussion...just like the discussions of whether Trevor ruined the band, and I, as a Rabinite, don't get upset when that topic rears its' head because in the end either person doesn't have to answer to anyone.
However, it has been discussed before...it is known that Chris was not necessarily a strong presence on Talk due to health issues and (depending on how you interpret various interviews) his own indifference.
So is it really a matter of astonishment? They're just discussions...and there is always a driving force behind an album which may or may not be a unified effort. In Yes' case generally not. Besides, the album is fifteen years old now so considerations of who did or did not play on it are merely talking points. It does nothing to diminish the work itself, IMO, it was a landmark recording with great writing and performances and was followed by a equally great tour.

Real love has great bass! To me that song is very squire influenced. This opinion is based on the music only.

He said himself on Rockline in '94 that they tried to make good parts that were relatively simple, but on the next album he planned to play with "a bit more flash".
He had that extra long bass that goes down to D that he played on "Where Will You Be?" and maybe another tune.
What I want to know is why on some tours (like Talk) he had a rearview mirror on his mic stand to check out Alan's movements/timing, and why on other tours (like the current one), he doesn't.
