This is the first ever film portrait of Roger Dean. A privileged glimpse into the world of an artist whose work is instantly familiar to millions around the globe.

Presented by Rick Wakeman, Views features stunning new animations of some of Roger's most famous works. Also included are the paintings which shaped a generation of record sleeves and the music which inspired a generation.

For this unique project, many of the musicians who have worked hand in hand with Roger over the last twenty years have agreed to be interviewed. The recollections of Steve Howe, Ken Hensley, Mick Box and John Wetton are compared and contrasted with the views of art critics, fans and, of course, the master himself.

Oh well... Uriah Heep is fun.

Thanx Dee!

BTW: Someone posted before that there is a big feature in ART ROCK magazine of Roger Dean and his work. I GOT IT! Seen it. Great read, lovely lay-out. But as the musician pointed out, they took the inside cover shot of the airship floating over the sliced earth and scanned it UPSIDE DOWN in their layout. If you haven't read this article, pick it up. Spring 2003 Art Rock Magazine

According to Roger Dean, the Views DVD is an unauthorised product with alleged breaches of copyright so be aware of this if you are thinking of purchasing it.

YESFANZ had a teleconference with Roger Dean last night. We had been talking of playing the DVD at Roger's exhibition in Sydney in September and he told us about how it had been done without his proper permission. So we won't be playing the DVD in his exhibition! Indeed the whole series that this is part of has the same problem of lack of proper authorisation.

Most of the discs produced by classicrock are of questionable origin. They buy up the rights to old videos, and make dvds of them. I have an Asia dvd from them, and the quality is not very good.

Don't know about the origins of the Dean disc, but it doesn't suprise me that its not totally legit.
