Hi there luv this site.
I first saw YES live in 1989 having been introduced to their music some 5 years previous by a good friend.
IMHO nothing comes close to Jon et al for passion in music.
Last year at Manchester when they played awaken ( fav YES track ) i had tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat.
I don't beleiev any other group could do this.
My other music interests are I.Q.( Check them out at www.gep.co.uk Frank Dunnery ( went to school with him ) Jadis, Magellan, Steve Morse, Dire Straits, Rennaisance and many others of different Genres.
I am really envious of you statesiders with the upcoming tour.
Just for the record, i met Rick Wakeman last week when he played my hometown.
The gig was awesome as usual but Rick does not look well.
keep in touch

Hi Tom, thanks for the reply to my post.
I am even more envious now that you saw the guys on the GFTO tour.
That period of time represents the most poignant and most creative piece of the bands history to me.
I have a video of that tour from Glasgow.
I must have watched it over 100 times.
Still gets the hairs going on the back of my neck.

Which songs are you looking forward to hear??

A piece of news i recieved last night ( to cheer me up ) is that YES may play a benefit gig in the UK in september to raise money for the farmers hit by the current foot and mouth disease ( i don't know how much coverage of this you guys are getting but it is bad)

I live on the west cost of Cumbria which is the heart of the lake district and we have it bad only 5 miles away.
Luckily my work is not farm related.

See you soon

Hello again Jacko!

Isn't the Internet fantastic!

Looking forward to hearing "The Remembering" from TFTO - Steve hinted about playing that with YES during his solo tour.

How's the quality of that Glascow show? The closest footage I have from that era is the QPR video - have you seen it (1975 - available on VHS thru CDnow).

Sorry to hear bout that F&M disease - Americans really have no idea how bad it is! Can you guys eat meat at all? I don't know what I'd do without a weekly burger!

See Ya!
Tom C.

Hi Jack(jo)
I was at the Sunday night concert at the Apollo, stuck up in the 'Gods'(upper circle) as we called it. I don't know if that was the night that you have a tape of (they also played Monday and Tuesday).
I have to confess it wasn't my most memorable concert. There had been a power cut during the day and YES never got their gear set up properly (no lasers or anything fancy like that) and despite the fact that the show was supposed to start at 7.30pm, the support (Donovan) didn't even set foot on stage until after well after 8pm. Subsequently, YES didn't appear until after 10pm!
It was great to be 'in the presence' of what was undoubtedly the definitive line-up - Anderson, Wakeman, Howe, Squire and White, but whether it was the power cut problems or the fact that we were stuck at the very back (and top!!) of the concert hall and were beginning to worry about how we were all going to get home (Sunday night, no late transport out of Glasgow and a bunch of teenagers not old enough to drive!), it was all a bit of a blur.
Would be curious to see that video!
