Anybody know of anything out there currently that is performance friendly, has great piano patches, and doesn't cost as much as a small vehicle?? LOL!!

Appreciate any input!

Actually, Riff, I thought about asking you if you had any advice for me on this Yamaha P80. I'm looking for something portable to replace my old piano and this one seems to have good piano samples (is that the same as patches?), without alot of fancy stuff. I'm no pro tho - I just play for my own sanity.

riff, i use to have 2 alesis qs6.1's, the piano samples are awesome! you can get a qs8.2 new for about a grand(88 key version) also, i have a yamaha s03, you can get a s08 for about $1200. the piano samples are the same as the s80 & s90 keys. both of these are great synths also, the alesis has some very good organ sounds-almost as good as my vfx-sd. the yamaha has great pads & string sounds. but, on the other hand if you don't need all those other sounds you can get a used kurzweil sp88 real reasonable...

hope i was of some help!
