Just had my first listen to the exquisite double-disc documenting the historic reunion of last summer. I was fortunate enough to see the band at the Harbor Pavilion in Boston, and this new release does not disappoint...great setlist, great sound...I'll be looking forward to picking up the DVD. Anyone else heard this yet?

Oh you tease. I thought they were touring again! I missed them, again.

I stumbled upon the RTF disc (amazon recommendation, I think) and have listened several times. I agree that it was well done. If this was vinyl, I would be wearing several copies out before its over. Will take it out of the CD changer long enough to burn a copy for the road. So this is to be released as a concert DVD? That will be a no-brainer purchase there, I can tell you. If it were not for fusion jazz and prog-rock, I would have had to kill myself when disco ruled the land (or at least gouge my ears out with a soup spoon). Those were dark days, my friend.

Heard any of the Five Peace Band yet? I've passed on a few audience recordings, am waiting for the studio release. With Corea and John McLaughlin, the project has potential; however, it could end up beyond the scope of my listening comprehension.

I'm seeing the Five Peace Band at Berklee (Boston) next week. I believe the release you're awaiting is a live double disc recorded earlier in the tour, with Vinnie C. on drums. Release date is next week but apparently they're selling 'em at their shows. Are there plans for a studio release?

The night before the Boston show, I'll be right here at home seeing Allan Holdsworth at the Iron Horse!
