Here is some info on hotels for anyone who may be flying in. The airport is not too far from downtown. Here are some suggestions for hotels in downtown Phoenix.
The Hotel San Carlos is a historic hotel, supposedly inhabited by a few ghosts. It is very close to the venue and very convenient for walking back after the show. It's a beautiful hotel. It's also very reasonably priced, about $120-130 per night. Also home of the pub Seamus McCaffreys.

On the higher end, the downtown Sheraton is right across from the Arizona Center. This hotel just opened recently and is very nice, but quite expensive. There is the Hyatt Regency, and also the Wyndham, which of the three is probably the least expensive. The Best Western Central Phoenix Inn and Suites is not walking distance to the venue or the Az Center, but has shuttle service to airport. I don't think cab fare would be much and for that matter I can pick people up and take them to/from the show on my way there and home.

Super 8, this is inexpensive but the area is not the best.

Drew, can you possibly once more arrange for a gather at Sams? You did such a great job llast time! Although, in July we may want to sit indoors. The misters on the patio work pretty well if we don't have a early monsoon season.

I am going to the show. Yahoo!!!! I have a VERY good seat. I would like to go to Sams too. Could some one repost the address and any other pertinent(?) information. I didn't go last time because the show was canceled, but now I wish I had. Is it very expensive? What do they serve? Will I be an outcast if I don't drink? All that rot.

Nope, nor will you be alone. I don't drink when I have to drive and I don't drink before concerts. I want to enjoy every note without a cloud of alcohol muddling things up, and I want to get home in one piece afterward. Plus, I am not a fun drunk, I tend to get sick very easily. You will love Sam's, good food and nice ambience for a gathering.

My son's girlfriend has come down with pnuemonia and is quite ill, we took her to the ER last night. She is taking very strong antibiotics and hopefully will start feeling better soon. I doubt she and my son will join us on Thursday. Unless she takes a turn for the worse, I should be good to go.

I will be there. I still need the address. Is the name just "Sams"? How long before the show do people want to be at Sams? I will need to pick up my ticket from will call with my wife, she's not going but she paid and she has to pick up the ticket.

Sending out Huge Thanks and Hugs to my newfound YES mates, Drew and Anne, for showing me an awsome time at my first ever yesfans pre-show meetup. It really helped me to enjoy the show that much more, by being in your presence....I hope we can keep in touch somehow...I'd also like to send out hope for a quick and healthy recover to Linda who I would have loved to meet as well...maybe next time...I hope she'll be ok...This was a really magical night...and that much more wonderful cuz you guy's were there....I say YES to the toffee apples... yum!

Had a nice meet up with Drew and Harry at Sam's. (Take away those chips! I ate so many of them).
Walked to the venooooooo (that's for smatt and Omar) and managed to score front row seats on the way for a little extra moolah. Alan White had kindly arranged for me to pick up a VIP pass so after the show Harry and I went backstage. V cool.
Afterwards, Harry and I managed to eventually get a cab (downtown Phoenix, at night, is very, very quiet ....)
Actually managed to sleep for more than 3 hours last night! Wonderful. ;)
