So why can't we get the Onion album as MP3 download?
Is it all the individual member's lawyers can't reach an agreement with the YesWest lawyers, the trooper lawyers, the collective lawyers...then Peter Banks holds it ALL up? Or what?

If you want to download it, why refer to the album as Onion?
It's Union. One of my favorites. :D
I doubt it has much to do with the band's lawyers, more to do with Arista, the record label that originally released Union.
You can probably find an original on ebay cheaper than downloading at about a dollar per track minus a little discount for buying the whole album that some services provide. Plus you will get better sound quality on an original as well :) Rhapsody is only 256 kb/sec, itunes 320 kb/sec, but an original is over twice this level of quality.
If you are getting this one to be a completionist, even if it is not your fave, get the best for cheaper. Who knows, a second listen on a nice sound system, and you might really like it. That's how it happened for me, anyway.

I actually gave Union a listen (for the first time in years) over the weekend while cleaning my house. It wasn't as bad as I remembered. I was impressed with how good "Miracle of Life" sounded. I think I let the band's sourness affect my enjoyment of it years ago. Now, I'm listening to it with new ears. However, I must still say I can't stand "Dangerous"... chris :-)

MoL is probably the best song on there... some of the ABWH stuff is good, too, but my opinion of it changed after I found out just how little Wakeman and Howe are heard on the record... they've been replaced by soundalikes... that soured me in more recent times... Dangerous does suck... it's the Man in the Moon of its time...

I got a great CD copy off of Amazon recently. Cheap too.
If the CD had been trimmed to 9-10 songs...
1) Shock to the System
2) Masquerade
3) Lift Me Up
4) Without Hope You Cannot...
5) Miracle of Life
6) Silent Talking
7) The More We Live (Let Go)
8) Angkor Wat
9) Holding On
10) Take the Water to the...
The last two are interchangeable. With this track list and a total lack of session musicians, that album is a hell of a lot less offensive. Some of the songs, like "Dangerous", are so dodgy that they weigh the album down with an excess of dross.

Why not just buy it on CD and rip and convert to mp3?
